Dough Bowl Refill Kit
If you would like to continue to use your dough bowl as a candle, you can refill it with one of our refill kits. The kit includes 16 oz. of scented soy wax and 3 wicks.
Refill Kit Information
Scoop out any leftover wax from your dough bowl candle. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to melt the rest of the wax and wipe out with a paper towel. Make sure the bowl is clean and dry and attach the wicks to the bottom of the bowl, making sure to space them evenly. Open the lid to vent, microwave the refill tub for about 2 minutes and allow to sit until all of the wax melts. Pour the wax into the dough bowl. Be sure the wicks remain straight as the wax cures. (Pencils, chopsticks, or wood skewers will help hold them in place.) Let your candle cure for at least 24 hours. Before burning, trim the wicks to 1/4 inch each.
Materials
Our candles are made with 100% soy wax. Fragrance is infused with phthalate free oils. (No headaches!) Soy wax is a cleaner alternative to traditional parafin wax candles and features a longer, fragrant, consistent burn. The wicks are made from cotton and are lead and zinc free.
Candle Care
- The first time you burn your candle, allow the wax to melt to the edge of the jar. This will prevent tunneling on future burns and will ensure your candle burns evenly throughout its lifespan.
- Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Before you burn each time, trim the wick to 1/4 inch.
- Never leave a candle unattended.
- If the flame creates black soot residue inside the jar, then the flame is too big and the wick must be trimmed. Blow out the candle, let it cool and then trim the wick before relighting.
